What is an EOR?
An Employer of Record (EOR) is a third-party organisation (us) that legally hires and employs workers on behalf of another company. While the EOR is the official employer and handles the legal, administrative and compliance burdens, the client company (you) retain full control over the employee’s day-to-day work, duties and performance.
Using an EOR allows companies to hire top international talent without the significant time and expense of setting up a legal corporate entity or subsidiary on the Island. It also protects you from legal pitfalls as EORs are experts in local staffing laws and regulatory requirements. Additionally, it can enable faster onboarding because we are familiar with what has to be done and how to achieve this most efficiently.
How it works
On paper, the EOR is the official employer. We issue the employment contract, process payroll, handle tax withholding (such as payroll tax, social insurance) and administer mandatory benefits (for example, medical and life insurance) according to local laws.
You retain powers of direction over the activities of the employee, manage their workload, set their daily schedule, and make all business-related decisions concerning the nature and execution of their responsibilities.
